My 3 year old Pebbles had a lump on the front of her throat it was removed and a Pathology Report (rechecked to confirm-several times) came back positive with Cryptococcosis. The report even starts that this is the first time in the US that a ferret ever had this diagnosis, and he thanked my vet for giving him the opportunity to see it for himself!! She is now on Itraconazole 1 cc (strength is 25 mg) once a day for 10 months. I've included two drops of Milk Thistle Extract, and also baby powdered acidolphlis in her daily chicken gravy. She is starting not to enjoy eating. Do you have any ideas for the lack of appatite, or even the disease. Thanks in advance for any advise you can give. |
