I have a poodle that has moles breaking out all over her body. People have told me it's a virus and can be cured by appling the bloodroot salve. Is this true? She's in agony as these break out, rubbing her body against any object to get relief from the itching of them.
Thank you for you help.

I would prefer to see an internal protocol because there are multiple lesions and what you see on the surface is probably only the symptom. It would be better to address the cause.

Hope you can help her.

I have a German Sheppard /Husky cross. She is 6 Years old. She recently started to stumble and fall whenever she shakes. She is being treated for inner ear infection. After 2 weeks of antibiotics, no sign of any improvement.

This web site is for questions about cancer. I suggest people look for a veterinary site for some of the issues raised here.

I have an older mare 23, with cushings disease. In the last two years she has also developed tumors on her skin that are dormant during the winter and flat, but pop up in the long day hours and the heat. Her breed is Appaloosa, and although she is dark in color (bay with some snowflakes) she does have parti-colored skin. Because of the cushings, this mare is on 5ml of pergolide per day. In the last two years (about as long as she has been on the pergolide) this mare developed a huge tumor on her right nostril...at first I thought it might be an abcess due to the way it would heal then break open again discharging graulated pus. After several vet visits, and a punch biopsy, my vet suggested I use the product X-terra which he called Indian Mud. After looking up Indian mud I found this website and a whole lot more information than my vet gave me, which I thank you for. This mare has/had 5 visible tumors, the one on her nostril the largest (about the size of a golf ball) I used the mud in the biopsy hole, and I also used it on another smaller tumor on her hip, about the size of a dime. The tumor on her hip sloughed off after 3 treatments and is healing nicely. the one on her nostril is still inflamed and not getting the reaction I had hoped for. My vet suggests I stop treatment on her nostril and she wants to surgically remove it, since she says this is a very agressive tumor and it is malignant, and says it is an unusual type of tumor in a horse...didn't give a specific type of tumor. She will be visiting the horse on Tuesday and we will assess further treatment. My question to you is, could there be an reaction of the indian mud and pergolide? And if cushings disease is caused by a benign tumor on the pitutary glad, is it possible that by giving bloodroot internally (which I didn't realize you could do until I got to this site) could rid my mare of the cushings syndrom? I wonder how strong the mud is, since this mare is now loosing large amounts of hair and seems to be getting slicker like she used to before the cushings. On her neck some of the hair has been rubbed completely off to bare skin, but she also has some hair loss on her shoulder which is protected by a fly sheet. I have been using fly spray since we have had two positive cases of horse west nile in the area, and am not sure if the fly spray is causing the hair loss, but I have owned this mare for 21 years and she has never had a reaction to fly spray before. Could the hair loss be due to the reaction of the indian mud in her system and the cushings tumor, or do you think it there is something else going on? I have to say that I was so pleased with the results on the small tumor on her hip, that I have continued to use the mud on another (I am going one at a time) and have also used it on myself. One mole sloughed off after 4 applications (about 5 days) and I am still working on the one that looks like a flat wart on my ear cartiledge...I am thinking this might take longer since it is cartilege...sorry to ask so many questions in one posting...thank you for your time!

My cat is sneezing and coughing . What should i do ? does he just have a cold and it will go away or does he need a vet to look at him? He is breathing raspy sounding and coughing like he is hacking on a really nasty fur ball.
