I have breast cancer and recently have had an unusual bowel movement. I don't know if it is related to the breast cancer so I am posting this under this general topic. The bowel movement is lighter in color, sometimes loose; sometimes not. However, what is unusual is that there are small darkish black round shaped particles in the movement (about the size of a cooked pea) that are soft and scattered throughout the movement. This has occurred with every bowel movement in the last few weeks regardless of what I have been eating. Do you have any idea of what this might be?

Possibly old bile, possibly old blood, possibly (but less likely) old fecal material that is loosening and coming old with your movements. This should not be an unexpected occurrence if you are proactive in trying to reduce your susceptibility to cancer. One of the many instructions Hoxsey used to give with his internal tonic was that it be administered in high doses until there was no more black, tarry stool. Then, patients went on a maintenance dosage for life.

A friend has been taking blood root for about a week, liquid 3x's daily. He has been bleeding with each bowel movement pretty much since he began with the herb. Is this a possibility due to the herb? He says it is fresh blood and not a whole lot of it.

He says it is fresh blood and not a whole lot of it. He does not have cancer or any harsh disease that we are aware of. He started taking it as a friend of his told him it was good to get rid of his broncial infection. Should he continue to take the herb and if so should he be doing a smaller dosage?
