Nope. Do you have any lumps or bumps other places?

I have a fatty tumor the size of a large lemon on the outer lip of my vagina. It has taken 30 years to grow this size. I tried taking the black salve internally for 6 months, but did not effect the tumor's size. Due to the difficulty in taking the salve (I have chronic colon problems which the salve irritated), I stopped taking it. I realize that for a tumor that size and in the location where it is on my body (where open wounds would have to be exposed to contamination) that external use of the black salve in this case is probably not an option. You mentioned using Golden Seal? Do you have any advise for me in getting rid of this tumor. I have no idea if it is cancerous or not.

Maia,

Yikes! Sometimes when people have complex medical histories, it pays to organize all the information to see how the pieces fit together. Then, you look for the issues that can be most easily addressed and you apply strategies for righting those matters. The body is not a bundle of isolated parts but rather one system, with, we might say, an operating system that is not too unlike a computer's OS.

Let's imagine that there is a fundamental imbalance, one that might be described as excess water/low fire. This sounds like your situation. If this basic problem were solved, it is likely that a host of conditions would simply disappear. Whether or not this includes the growth cannot be predicted -- so if the growth is dangerous, it might require supervision while the underlying strategies are put into place.

I am a medical philosopher so what sometimes astonishes me the most is how much effort people put into those areas of their lives that are most demanding, like relationships or work, and how little effort they put into getting to know themselves, their needs, and their priorities. When strategies are forged that allow people to find themselves in this topsy turvy world, all kinds of wonderful things can happen, including healing.

God bless.

Is fatty tissue the same as a fatty tumor?
