The book is sold over this site. The black and yellow salve are not sold on the site. There are links to the sources for the black salve in the main part of the site, but none for the yellow salve. It has been some years since anyone asked about this. I might be able to track it down with some phone calls, but off hand, I don't have any suggestions.

Ingrid-
After reviewing the cancer salve website I have to admit to being once again overwhelmed. I have had breast cancer for going on 7 years with recurrent tumors in my left breast, along with the removal of two lymph nodes. Besides the surgery I have used alternative methods of many types- did much of my own research years ago, as well as working quite hard on the emotional-spiritual-psychologicial levels. I have always been pretty timid about salves. Amazing given the three surgeries I have had.
I was going to get your book but after reading many of the posts here I am beginning to see that salves are not appropriate for someone like me that has had a number of surgeries because of the scar tissue issue. Is this accurate? Are there options? My other question which is trickier is that I now have mets in my lungs along with a large primary tumor in the left breast. Getting rid of the cancer would fabulous but short of that are there suggestions from you or others here for herbs that have had some results slowing or stopping growth of tumors and eleviating pain. I am also using a light system and am in search of plants/herbs that are concidered photo-sensitizers. I work with a number of practitioners who are helping me along but I am still the primary information gatherer. Anythign you can offer would be great.
Regards-
Cory Howard

Oh, my!

This is really challenging. The rule with alternative medicine is not unsimilar to conventional medicine when there are metastases, i.e., you need a systemic treatment. This, however, does not mean that no localized treatments are appropriate, merely that you will probably get more benefit from a systemic approach, which happens, as you might already have figured out, to be easier, at least from the angle of pain.

I have been fussing trying to develop an anti-scarring ointment specifically for people who have used escharotics but also for those who have scars from surgery. You can contact me privately for the latest information on availability. In my opinion, getting rid of scar tissue has many benefits, the more so if this can be done pleasantly. Even if the reduction is gradual, it's worth the effort.

There are about 100 formulas in my book, most of them internal tonics, not external. At one time, I organized the most important of them and the common denominators were burdock, going back to Hildegard of Bingen and right up to modern day research conducted in Hungary and Japan. This seems to be the herb upon which most people relied to prevent growth and it is surmised by some that it is also one of the most important anti-angiogenesis herbs, meaning it prevents the growth of auxilliary blood vessels that feed the tumor. Basically, this herb is in everything from Essiac to our own tonics.

Pain is caused by the pressure of the tumor on surrounding tissues. As such, any reduction of the tumor seems to help, but many people taking my version of the Hoxsey tonic reported reduction in pain. Since the formula was intended for this purpose, this is a welcome "side effect."

It must be very discouraging to think you are doing everything but not see more proof of success. The place to begin, I believe, is by putting everything on paper: diet, life style, unresolved life issues, herbs and supplements, medical history, and prescriptions. Have several experienced people review it to see what can be tweaked and then see if they will discuss their opinions with each other so that you don't have to deal with the din of conflicting voices.

There is no one right answer for everyone, but you can surely benefit by comparing notes . . . but you might already have been doing this since you have been at this a while.

Since I offered to speak with your practitioner, this is how we can follow up.

Ingrid-
Thank you very much for this. My scatter-shot approach is not serving me well anymore. I have to admit to being rather proud of my body's ability to hang in there. And I do look forward to this next piece because inspite of the drag of having cancer I have had the opportunity to meet, participate with some amazing people. And have had the chance to know myself in ways that are so important to me.
Circling the wagons!

Cory,

Ironically, one of the good parts of having any major illness is finding out who and what is really important in life. Wish we could all discover this and learn to cherish what we have without the pain and suffering.

I am not sure which post your post addressed, but it gives me the chance to say that dental issues are often serious. I discuss these more on http://www.kitchendoctor.com than here.

Years ago, I attended a workshop on oral toxicology for dentists. The organizer commenced the all-day seminar with the statement, "Folks, we dentists are responsible for 98% of the deaths in the world." You can imagine this made the dentists very uncomfortable, but he went on to discuss the hazards of various dental materials, not just mercury amalgams but many other materials as well (most of which are radioactive). He discussed root canals, extractions, infections, and a host of other problems. Dental problems can be very serious and they can undermine the body's capacity to heal as well as contribute to illnesses. Moreover, each tooth is related to specific bodily systems so changing the restoration or condition of one tooth is sometimes enough to bring about a remission. Many dentists have described remissions of neurological problems, but a few have also seen remissions of cancer. There is a lot to study and understand here. It cannot be covered in a few paragraphs, but everyone dealing with cancer is well-advised to consult a very highly specialized dentist who is trained in what is often called environmental dentisty or biological dentistry.

Hi! I had a lump removed from my left breast on Dec. 4,o3. Previous history is stage 1 cancer of the cervix that was cured with Esiac Tea. Then I went off of it. It has come back. I had pain in my bones that make up the pelvic area. My right overy gets to hurting and according to ultrasound it is because a blood blob starts growing in it. When it leaked (bled out), the pain quit. After November 11, check up I started on Essiac Tea again. Then on November 26th, I added taking bloodroot. This has helped me alot! The pain in my pelvic bone has quit. The bleeding has also slowed down to spotting. The pain in my ovary has quit. We are very impressed with the bloodroot. We need somemore and do not know where to get it. I take it internally. I do not know what else is mixed with it. Maybe some alum. We heard that barbarine is very good at fighting cancer. I also desire to get your book. Tried calling and just got a FAX. Will try again. Anyway can you help me with the bloodroot mixture. Thanks, April

Hi Ingrid,
I am extremely glad to have found your website! Also, I have a some questions. After reading your exchange with Cory Howard, I am still unclear about the advisability of using escharotic salves, following the use of internal tonics, on areas where there is significant scar tissue due to previous surgery (mastectomy and lymph node removal). I have an agressive cell type that has reappeared quickly on the scar tissue resulting from the lymph node removal under my arm. Also feel that there are some active cells in the mastectomy site, based on sensations and vega testing.
I also wanted to ask you whether or not you think the results with the glycerin extract are as good as with the honey, as I usually avoid sweets and alcohol. What about the concern with sweets, glycerin included, feeding cancer?
Lastly, what can you tell me about the scar reducing formula? Is it available? How do I best approach all this with a fast-growing cell?
Thank you so much for your deep concern for everyone and for this rich contribution to planetary healing.

Resa,

Personally, I wouldn't use an escharotic under the arm, especially in summer. I just do not see how the pain or risk of infection could be effectively managed. The scar creme is available. It goes by the name Feathered Turtle.

Glycerite products cannot be as potent as alcohol ones (the syrups are added to the alcohol extract) because of the extraction method. Everyone asks the same question, even some rather famous pundits on the lecture circuit, but honey has medicinal benefits of its own and those who have tested it agree that their preconceived notions do not seem relevant.

You can write me privately about some other possible approaches.

Blessings!

Dear Ingrid,

Bless you for such a wonderful website and the opportunity for folks to talk to each other about treatments.

I found your site today after hours of searching for the past three days for information about breast cancer, and wanted to find out if there are any alternative treatments for microcalcifications.

I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the information I've read, feel like I can't take in anymore and that I don't fully understand a lot of what I've read for the past 3 days of researching.

I was just diagnosed with fibrocystic breast disease and microcalcifications in my left breast, the upper "flat" portion about 3" above my nipple. The doctors want to do a biopsy right away, and I'm terrified that if it "is" cancer in there, which after a lot of researching I'm pretty sure it most likely is, that a biopsy will spread the cancer and I don't want to have it done.

I'm trying to find if there are alternative treatments for this microcalcification, to treat myself as if I knew for sure it was malignant, before I have another mammogram done in a few months. I had a thermography done before the mammogram, and the image was graded a TH3 - which they said was questionable results.

Any suggestions by you or other folks on the board would be really very much appreciated. I'm very new at understanding holistic treatments, but am very much interested in them. My mother had breast cancer and mastectomies, and having watched her go through that, I really want to try to take care of myself holistically.

Thank you sincerely,
Carol
