Ingrid,

Can you add one of the herbal extracts or homeopathic remedies for pain to a commercially prepared "black salve" product to alleviate some of the pain? I wanted to pursue the pain management angle that you have in the book but use a comercially prepared salve.
thanks-chris

Most people have had very good luck with Di Da Wan. You can get this in Chinatown or from just about anyone practicing Chinese medicine. It comes as a malleable wad inside wax or plastic (looks a bit like a small grenade) and it blends in white the salve (with some effort.) What you want to be avoid is allowing any contact of metal with the black salve (because the zinc chloride reacts with metal.) Therefore, use something made of wood. When the salve is applied on a very tender area, it will still hurt but then the pain subsides, often within just a few seconds.

Obviously, people have tried "everything." I know they have tried various homeopathic remedies, both to reduce pain and possibly encourage the tumor destruction. Some have tried prescription pain relievers but these usually not only fail to work but often make matters worse. Besides, none of them have sufficiently long lasting effects.

Some have tried white willow bark, aspirin, you name it, but Di Da Wan has generally been the most successful and there are countless versions of it out there since every herbalist seems to have his own formula.

Please let us know what does and doesn't work. Good luck.

Try something with bloodroot, but read my book first so that you understand what you are doing and what the risks are.
