I have breast cancer and have a port-a-cathe which was used for chemotherapy. I was advised to take black salve internally (dose-twice a day in capsule (each dose-half the size of a dried pea). However, I read that black salve can be toxic to the liver if taken internally. Is this true? Also, would it be dangerous to use the formula since I have a port-a-cathe, which I believe has some metal in it? Thanks. |

Most sources do no advise using bloodroot in conjunction with chemotherapy. It isn't clear to me whether after the chemotherapy it would be something to consider. I wonder how anyone can be concerned about bloodroot damaging the liver when the same concern did not alter the decision to do chemotherapy. In the small dosages that people are using, bloodroot pastes taken internally might produce some nausea unless taken with food. This said, I am not personally standing behind this approach to healing except in specific circumstances. I think most people can manage their conditions without taking the paste internally so saving the paste as a last ditch measure is more what I consider appropriate. This said, I have no idea how close to the ditch people are when they post to the board. I just know that while I am willing to discuss this strategy, it is not something I would ever consider at an early stage. Best wishes! |

What is available for a 25 yr.old patient suffering from childhood leukemia pre B, having had 2 relapses and a bone marrow transplant last March, and is basically "given up" by her Drs. We are using herbs now, but would like to know if there's anything out there that has helped others with her condition. |

Hello, I have a question about taking black salve internally. My mother is trying it as a last chance. We think she has about two or three weeks left to live. What kind of diet should you eat while taking black salve. Can you have any kind of sugar, lets say honey? |

Hi, I can share a small amount of information with you about taking black salve internally, and a bit of a warning. I’m currently taking it internally for some liver tumors. I’m on week 3 of a 6 week course. The recommend dosage is 1/8tsp a day with 8 oz of water, preferably in the am on an empty stomach. You’re supposed to double the amount (twice a day) for malignancies that are over 6 months old. You have to stay away from dairy products, refined sugar and alcohol while you’re on the treatment. Sounds easy enough, but the first week was pretty rough. Day 1 went well, no problems. Days 2 &3 were not fun, however. I was extremely dizzy and nauseous and made over 15 trips to the restroom to empty out what my body was flushing out. By Day 4 I was feeling better, although very tired. You also end up with bad breath and, if you sweat, the smell is not the most pleasant. Things have really improved from there. Now I’m in Week 3 and I’m still tired, but not nearly as much. I only get nauseous if I haven’t eaten in a while, and some food or Vitamin C really makes the nauseousness go away. I’ve lost about 10 pounds and my friends are commenting that my skin looks better and healthier. I can feel a slight “gnawing” sensation at the tumor site, nothing bad, more like a cross between a dull ache and mild heartburn. I’m obviously not a doctor, so I can’t tell you how safe it is or if it’s a wise decision, but I can tell you this. It’s a livable treatment, and if it works, I’ll be singing it’s praises to anyone I can. As a possible chance to eliminate my tumors and avoid surgery, I think it’s definitely worth a shot. Good luck! |

This is Great. Finally someone has wrote to the board with their experience with the Black Salve internally. I know people who have used it and have had the same experiences as yourself. Please let us all know how you make out with a Doctor's examination of your tumors, Please. I sure hope they are all gone, or so small they can be removed. I have a client with soccer ball tumors in her stomach and she would really like for me to make the salve for her, but being so large where would they go? Please keep us informed. Thank-You Have an Awesome Day Debby |

Thanks, Debby! I know I’ve been looking at other sites trying to find someone else who’s had experiences, but haven’t’ been able to find anyone, so I thought I’d write. I just hope my experiences help someone else out! I did forget to mention it’s cleared up my sinus infection like nothing else ever has and got rid of candida, too! I’m keeping my fingers crossed and will keep all of you posted on my progress – especially once I have the sonogram around the end of April. My biggest tumor on the outside of my liver is only about the size of a golf ball, and I’m wondering where that will go if it goes. Best of luck to your client Thanks and take care! Jonel |

Well, the results are in, and unfortunately, it’s not what I’d hoped. I had the sonogram on Friday, and not only were the liver tumors still there, one had actually grown a small bit in size (and it had been stable for 3 years). Needless to say, we were disappointed. Surgery is now scheduled for June 15th. I feel a bit like I’ve wasted my time and money on trying something that didn’t work, and made me so sick in the beginning…. But for the most part, I still think it was worth a shot, and I’m glad I tried it. At least I know it didn’t work – much better than not trying and always wondering. I would still encourage people to give it a shot, just make sure you continue with Western medical follow-ups so your health doesn’t deteriorate if the salve doesn’t perform as you’d like. Take care everyone, and I wish you the best of health! Jonel

Oh, gosh! I haven't been checking the board as often as usual and am surprised by how much has been posted on this topic. Now, I don't know what to say. There are some black salves that are intended for internal use and some that should never be used internally. What Jonel has written is a sort of mixed bag. I have the feeling that getting rid of a chronic sinus infection and Candida albicans is nothing to underestimate. These should have been contributing to burden on the liver so it ought to be easier now that these pressures are out of picture. This said, there is room for a lot more skill in applying these measures. First, my tea really helps with those odors and flushing issues. We need to view the infections and yeasts for what they are: life forms within the body that have their own behavior and perhaps also agendas. When they die, they smell a bit like dead animals. Everyone knows that yeast has a sort of fishy smell, but some organisms smell more like dead furry animals. It can be fairly gross. Some people have back up into the lymphatic system with swelling, redness, and even itching. By drinking a lot of green vegetable juices, strained to remove fiber, the detoxification is easier and faster. You can also take internal detoxifying herbs in addition to the bloodroot. In Jonel's situation, there is a curious matter here. In essence, a condition that is almost always regarded as very serious is being deferred for a month and a half. I honestly do not know any cancer specialists who would delay this long, but given that this is the case, why not go all out to see if more progress can be made in the window that is still open? Good luck! |
