Hi Ingrid--

Thanks again for your site. It's been great. I had a question unrelated to cancer salves. Thought I'd run it by you. I ran myself down and picked up a nasty viral thing. Been sick for over a week. Started and continues with heavy, tight chest, trouble breathing, dry, hacking cough, no sense of smell or taste and low-grade fever although at its peak, my fever hit a whopping 103. It's now just around 99, comes and goes, but the upper respiratory problems, cough, lack of taste and smell and foggy weakness persist. It just won't let go. Been taking vitamins, C, garlic, echinea/goldenseal and just started with Olive Leaf but I'm getting concerned, aggravated and depressed. Any suggestions. I live in NYC and had a another upper respiratory attack that lasted a month last December. Never had them before. Thanks.

Oh, by the way, my tongue hurts as if I've burned it. I get this feeling quite often. Lynnda

Lynnda,

Not sure here. The postscript on the feeling that your tongue is burning is interesting. It suggests toxicity, probably involving something quite unpleasant. It's very hard to know what sort of toxins are in the air in NYC. Those of us who live 3000 miles away can only guess, but the air was apparently full of noxious odors as well as toxins. This would trash anyone, not to mention the energy in the air.

Loss of sense of smell is related to adrenal trauma. This would have secondary impacts on taste (reproductive area of the body) and probably also on digestion (less efficient metabolism and hence more difficulty throwing off insults also.)

In your situation, I would take something to support the adrenals (Stress Free is our main offering right now), a serious immune enhancer (Indigo Drops and/or astragalus in some form--we have both), and perhaps something to help detoxify following months of harmful air. Our trifolium syrup is superb as an all around tonic, but Indigo Drops addresses infection a little more directly. The fogginess suggests that your liver is not at its maximum level of efficiency, more likely maximum level of function beyond which it can't do anything more. Hopefully, things will get better, but we need to be sure nothing crazy happens in this insane political climate!

Best wishes,

Ingrid
