Dear Ingrid,
I just finished reading your book "Cancer Salves" from cover to cover. My doctor actually borrowed the book from a good friend of yours (her name was Anastasia) and it's a wonderfully informative book! Thank you SO MUCH for writing it! While it answered almost all my questions, I have a few more...

I'm 37 years old and about 9 month ago, I was diagnosed with a malignant skin melanoma on my arm. It was subsequently removed with surgery last year. After I began applying a salve to heal the scar a couple months ago,I noticed an unusual formation on part of the scar, which we're sure is cancer. It looks identical to the original melanoma that was removed last year. Now it apprears to be growing quickly. I stopped using the scar ointment right away, but the growth has gotten bigger (about the size of dime in diameter and maybe .5 cm high).

Initially, I thought about using the salve that described on pg 130 of the book (patterned after Paattison's method), but you said it's NOT recommended for a fast-growing cancer. I am working with my homeopathic dr. on making our own cancer salve and I want to know which salve would you recommend for a faster-growing cancer? Since my melanoma is on the skin's surface, we thought we'd be able to use a gentler cancer salve, but now maybe not since it appears to be growing pretty quickly. Any thoughts?

Also, where can we find Calendula Ointment? We know of a place that carry's the pure Calendula Oil but their ointment has other ingredients that might not be appropriate for my salve. Would the oil be okay, if we thickened it with beeswax or flour? Or do you recommend something completely different?

Any recommendations or advice are truly appreciated! We want to get rid of my cancer as soon as possible. Thanks again!
Kathy

Kathy,

It's not always wise to use just any ointment following surgery for something as serious as a melanoma because many ointments are developed for the purpose of renewing skin and they may contain ingredients that stimulate growth. While many maintain that these would act only on healthy tissue, I think this is hard to prove so it is better to use something specifically created for use in situations such as yours.

If a melanoma appears to be recurring, then my suggestion would be to view this as if it were a systemic rather than localized condition. This means that you would want to take internal tonics in addition to whatever you choose to use externally. Moreover, you might want to repeat these preventative measures 2-3 times a year as an extra safety measure.
