Dear Ingrid,
I understand after reading "Cancer Salves" that it would be dangerous to use a black/ yellow salve on a rectal tumor. I am wondering if there is anything else that could be put right on the rectal tumor. I have a very hard time with enemas. I have opted not to have surgery, radiation, or chemo and have done a course of the mineral salt " cesium" to reverse cancer cells. I have not had another biopsy to know if it is still malignant. I am hoping to rid the tumor from my body instead. Can you reccommend something that can be safely used in this area?

My personal opinion is that an escharotic would probably not only be painful but almost impossible to manage both from the point of view of bandaging and hygiene. So, your conclusion is basically correct. Bloodroot pastes would seem too risky to consider. I would, however, look at the possibility of using suppositories and some kind of topical ointment that does not require any elaborate dressings. I would also look into all the other dietary and herbal approaches that would support your health and make your choice to avoid conventional treatment safer.

Dear ingrid - please can you help ...????
I am a 52 year old woman, who has recently (2 months ago) been diagnosed with cancer of the bowel - it is a "moderately differentaited adonocarcinoma - 8-15 cms from the anal canal". I have had hepatitis c for 26 years and also have emphysema - so i am not in great shape. I have decided not to have surgery and radiation and chemo - i dont think my body would handle it atall well...so iam treating it with Tibetan herbs that i get from India from my doctor - Dr. Yeshe Dhonden. However - i am still bleeding - and there is prolapse of the anus mscle - also this other symptom that i have had for 7-8 years - an itching around the area of the anus - could it be related ??? could you suggest anything for any of the above ??? The tumor is quite large - they reckon i have had it for 6 years - but i think longer...i have changed my diet to one of cooked brown rice and vegetables with a little beans - thats all... its very different to my previous eating patterns...!!! Also i take Triphala for my bowels.
I have read the chapters on cancer in your Astrology of Healing - and i reckon i am the typical cancer personality - i am born in bombay on 20/10 /50 at 12.53 p.m. - i have a moon pluto opposition in the 7th house and i have lived my life in a tight and controlling way....i am not sure what to address first...and sometimes get very frightened and depressed. I dont even know if you will get this - the last few messages keep coming back...and i cant get my password to go through...

Thank you for your nice comments. If Dr. Yeshe Dhonden is providing herbs, you are in the care of one of the finest healers on the Planet. It would be quite presumptuous on my part to think that I have anything to offer that he has not already considered . . . unless he has not seen you physically and therefore not had the opportunity to take your pulse. He is certainly one of the living masters of this method of diagnosis.
Hepatitis C has been ravaging the Tibetan community both in India and abroad. I would be surprised if the doctors haven't got a cure for it. Most of the people I knew in Santa Fe were taking Liv-52, but it's really important to combine immune enhancing strategies with detoxification, tricky but important.
It's also difficult not to suspect parasites given that you have been in areas where they are easy to pick up and that you had itching before the diagnosis of cancer. Even bleeding can be caused by parasites though it is not conclusive. In any event, probiotics ought to help a lot.
I don't think the bulletin board is the place to discuss all the possibilities because someone needs to move beyond speculation to actual supervision. Are you still in Bombay? There are some excellent doctors there, people who know Dr. Yeshe Dhonden, Drs. Smita and Pankaj Naram. I have very high regard for them and their work.
As for your horoscope, it's quite a lovely chart, but in the effort to live up to the ideals you set for yourself, there is little room for intense feelings to move, especially fire. May I suggest two things: first, the main stress has passed, last year, and second, it is more important to be honest than pleasing and more important to be honest than good . . . because the goodwill cannot express except from a place of truth. |

Thank you so much for your quick reply to my (above ) letter. i cried when i read it....
I am in Melbourne, Australia - have been here since 1965 - I have met DR. Yeshe Dhonden on two ocassions - the last one in 2000 - he sends me herbs by mail - so i have not been able to have my pulse and urine diagnosed by him. It was a colonoscopy that revealed the cancer - and also has caused the bleeding to increase.. i communicate with Dr. Dhonden by fax or phone...i would like to address the bleeding while i wait for the next batch of herbs to arrive.
Thank you for looking at my chart - i do find myself in spaces where i no longer have the same heart/mind to please or to be good...however i am confused and often feel isolated because of the course i have chosen for myself with the cancer.. even the "alternative medical professinals" are cautious and/or critical about my treatment. So could i please have a consultation with you ??? i feel that it could shed a great deal of light on many areas of my life that have been stiffled or thwarted - which would help in my healing process. (i nearly had a consultation with you in 1989 when you were in melbourne - but you were too busy and cancelled - so i hope it can happen this time inspite of the great physical distance...!!!) Once again - many thanks for your work - for the caring and insight you provide into our human condition - it has sustained me in many dark hours.....Best wishes and love |

I'm sorry about the cancellation . . . it reminds me of the Tibetan saying I used to keep on my wall: "We whirl and whirl until into hell we fall" which is obviously the Eastern version of "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." I remember Melbourne well. I felt like a soccer player in Brazil so if reality didn't grab me soon again, I might have let it all go to my head. However, I am very sorry you waited so long for a consultation. Now, perhaps we can create a priority track, but please contact me privately rather than on the bulletin board.
