Not sure if this is too off-topic, but I was wondering if you had any opinion on whether fasting encourages the development cancerous lesions. I have been fasting three times per year for the past five years, and I've just developed my first basal cell carcinoma.

I am not aware of any links here, but if you fast in such a way as to mobilize toxins without successfully removing them, they could aggravate something, usually the skin since it is the largest eliminatory organ of the body. It tends to take over some of the burden of the colon when the colon is inefficient.
